I have found that there are several great things about keeping a blog for Smith & Smith, CPA in Cary.  First of all, it lets me document all of the fun and exciting business functions and events that I get to attend.  Second, it lets me highlight different opportunities going on in the community and makes people aware of them.  Third, it gives me the chance to do some marketing and promotion for our clients (what is YOUR CPA in Cary doing for YOU!?!?)

I am making good progress on getting around to talking with all of our business clients and finding out what they have going on new.  I really enjoy doing this as it lets me get to know them better and I get to help them out with a marketing blog on their specific area of expertise.  I recently spent some time visiting with one of our long-time realtor clients, Ken Smith of GoldensRealty.  Ken and I met years ago through a business referral group (BNI) and Ken’s been a valued client of Smith & Smith, CPA in Cary for several years now.  I went over to Ken’s new office (easily located in Cary right across from WakeMed Hospital) where he shares the space with Real Estate Attorney, Marianna Montana, owner of Law Office of Marianna C. Montana.  Ken met Marianna through a class on short sales that was taught by Julia Iden, a Certified Short Sale Specialist Instructor.  Ken has recently distinguished himself from other realtors in the Triangle Area by earning his North Carolina Short Sales Specialist Certification (CSSS). He has a true passion for helping families who are facing difficult decisions and he understands the entire short sale process.

Dr. Tri Myers of Omega Chiropractic

 I also had a nice afternoon meeting with a new friend, Dr. Tri Myers of Omega Chiropractic Center.  Oddly enough Dr. Tri and I also met through a BNI group a few months ago.  Dr. Tri is a fellow ECU (GO PRIATES) Alumni and has a doctorate degree from Parker College of Chiropractic Sports Physician in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Tri recently opened his practice here in Cary and is specializing in working with athletes, sports injuries and teams.  Dr. Tri’s wife, Dr. Rachel, is also a chiropractor and is currently working in Sanford, NC in the specialty areas of nutrition and Functional Medicine.  Dr. Tri is growing his business through word-of-mouth and small business networking groups.  We’ve talked about membership to the Cary Chamber and the ways it could help him grow his network and business clients.   If you haven’t met Dr. Tri already, I am sure you will soon, he has become a good friend of Smith & Smith, CPA in Cary.
