Cary Chamber education golf tournament was a “HIT”

Education Golf Tournament

Education is a big deal to our CPA firm (Sharon was a school teacher for 27+ years and Cam’s wife, Brooke, has also taught in public schools).  So Smith & Smith, CPA was happy to be a sponsor for the Cary Chamber of Commerce education golf tournament.  This education golf tournament benefits many programs like Honor a Teacher, First Year Teacher, Teacher of the Month, Leadership Cary and many more.  The event was sponsored by BlueCrossBlueShield of NC and was held at the lovely MacGregor Country Club golf course in Cary.

Hole-in-One Time!

With our sponsorship (T-Shirt Sponsor) we supplied all of the shirts for the volunteers to wear (it takes a lot of volunteers to help make an education golf tournament successful) and also received a golf spot for one player.  Blake played for our firm and had a great day on the course (despite the early rain and heavy afternoon clouds & overcast weather).  Blake played with my good friend, Carrie Cassidy, Director of Catering for The Umstead Hotel & Spa, Jeremy Gonsalves also from The Umstead Hotel & Spa and Tom Carlson of Carolina Building and Grounds.   A big THANK YOU to Allison Wrenn, Director of Finance & Education and the other Cary Chamber Staff who worked so hard to get this tourney put together (she also sent me these great pictures!)

Sometimes I just wonder…why is it so difficult to get a good picture.  Honestly, I mean, really...  So we have our brand new shirts from the Cary Chamber Education Golf Tourney (was included in our Shirt Sponsorship package) and all I want is a good picture of Smith & Smith, CPA and spouses…and this is what they give me!

Can you spot the odd two in the group???

Help me share this blog post if you think it is funny!  Thanks!

GlobalRun4Water Inaugural Event!

GlobalRun4Water

Last Sunday, September 30th, an event that we had been working on for MONTHS, finally happened!  It was the Inaugural GlobalRun4Water!  Events were held around the globe on September 30th and had two main goals: 1) Create awareness about water and sanitation issues and 2) Raise $1-Millon Dollars that would be used towards water projects around the worldGlobalRun4Water was started by Rotary and invited Rotary clubs around the world to help create & host events, not just for Rotarians, but also for everyone!

1-Mile Water Carry

Our RD7710 GlobalRun4Water Race Committee (Rotary District 7710, where my home club, Cary-Kildaire, is located) began working in early 2012 on our event and we decided to host a 5k run/walk and also a 1-mile water carry competition…to really drive home the point of what millions of women and children do on a daily basis to just get water (not even clean water).  So after many months of our weekly Friday committee meeting, working on the website, recruiting sponsors, getting runners & walkers signed up, doing club presentations and everything else that goes on with planning a 5k race (there is a LOT…let me tell you…) we were ALL very happy to see Sunday September 30th arrive and to have a BEAUTIFULday too!

Smith & Smith, CPA and Fleenor Family

It had rained all day on Saturday, so Sunday was nice and clear for us.  We hired Young & Associates as our Race Coordinator (highly recommend them if you ever need to plan any type of race/sporting event) and they really came through on helping us with race details.  We were pleased to have over 70 sponsors for this event…everything from food, to family members, local companies and even sponsors in other states!  Our sponsorships ranged from $100-$1000 and we had Omega Sports was our MAIN EVENT Sponsor & Glaceau Vitaminwater as our Hydration SponsorSmith & Smith, CPA was a proud Quart Sponsor for the event and I was so happy to have Blake & Trent participate in the GlobalRun4Water 5k race!

Blake & Trent run GlobalRun4Water

It was Trent’s first 5k and he did the whole race with Blake in about 45 minutes!  He was also the youngest runner.  So proud.  My parents, Michael and Marsha Fleenor, were a Pint Sponsor, and were here for the weekend and also attended the race event (they helped look after Mark for us).  My father-in-law, Bob, came out for the event too.  We had nearly 200 participants in both the 5k run/walk and the 1-mile water carry.  Even had a few people to do both!  The water carry competition was very inspirational as some Rotary Clubs really went all out and had built some cool & clever ways to carry water!  There was 2,500 Paul Harris Fellows Pointsup for grabs to the winning Rotary Club in the water carry and congrats to Chapel Hill-Carrboro Sunrise Rotary Club for winning!  They carried the most water!  The 5k first place male winner was Ben Langsford with a time of 19.10 and the first place female winner was Kristin Harman with a time of 24.06. Congrats to both of them!  Omega Sports gave out $100 gift cards to both of them!  The 2nd and 3rd place male/female winners each got $50 and $25 respectively.  Winners in each age category received a $10 Omega Sports gift card.  Thank you so much Omega Sports for sponsoring the GlobalRun4Water awards!

Chapel Hill-Carroboro Sunrise Rotary Club

We raised over $12,000 during GlobalRun4Water and each $1.00 will be turned into $3.50 because of the matching from both the District and  the Rotary Foundation!!!!!  So that $12,000 is essentially $42,000 that will be used for Rotary District 7710 water & sanitation projects!!  Want to read about some projects that have been done before?  Click HERE

A big THANK YOU to the RD7710 GlobalRun4Water Race Committee, Sponsors, Participants, Rotary Clubs that welcomed us as program speakers, Young & Associates, Heather Swanner Photography, Town of Cary and everyone involved!  We look forward to GlobalRun4Water 2013!!!!

 Let’s Network Ladies!

Oct. Mega Networking

Women Business Owners Network of Cary held their October meeting on October 10th and it was the Annual Fall Mega-Networking!  This event continues to grow bigger and bigger each year (held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall).  There was right 70 ladies present yesterday, who were either representing their owns business or the company/firm that they work for (not exclusive to just women business owners, but we also include women professionals).  It was great to see so many new faces; I think there was at least 15 first time guests!  We spent the majority of the meeting rotating from table to table in an organized pattern to meet, network, learn and exchange business information with one another.

Tobi & Rita explain the Like-A-Thon

The WBON Board members did a fantastic job in serving as “table hosts” and we had some exciting announcements by our Fundraising Team about the upcoming November 13th Holiday Gala & Scholarship Fundraiser event (Thanks Cindy and Christine!!!).  They were pre-selling tickets and even offered some cool incentives for buying your tickets early!  We also have a new project on Facebook being led by our Communications Team (Rita and Tobi) where we are doing a ‘like-a-thon’ for any WBON member who has a FB business page!  Cool idea ladies!

Renee & Becca

Thank you to My Girlfriend’s Closet for the awesome Ralph Lauren cheetah print dress and matching jewelry.  They always make me look and feel so confident and professional.  Like my dress? You can find it at the NEW My Girlfriend’s Closet in Apex, NC.  They moved right down the street to a new space, go check them out! Now located at 219 N. Salen Street #103 in Apex, NC.  And I’m standing with my sweet friend, Renee Groom. She was wearing this incredible necklace from her company, Avon, and I actually bought the layered beads & pearl necklace right off of her!  What a cool way to do business Renee by wearing your product!  Thank you to all of the ladies who attended and for making the WBON of Cary Fall 2012 Mega Networking another success!  More pictures on the WBON Facebook page

Fire & Ice and Joan Rivers too!!!!

Girls for Fashion Show

In mid-September I received a really neat email from the girls at Peachy Keen about their upcoming Fall Fashion show called Fire & Ice Fashion Show.  This sounded like a super fun event and one that I wanted to attend with some of my favorite girlies!  So I sent the email out and rounded up the troops (or the girls…whatever you want to call us!)  Tickets were only $5 and that included a goody bag full of cool stuff, food and wine tasting before the show on the outside patio, entrance to the fashion show, cupcakes and bubbly afterwards and a $10 shopping voucher!  Can you say GREAT DEAL!?!?!?!  Peachy Keen is a new contemporary lifestyle boutique that specializes in designer apparel, accessories, footwear and gifts.

Fire & Ice Fashion Show

The store is owned by the Hankin sisters and their parents share the space with their store called Joint Venture Jewelry.  It’s such a cool concept and their motto is taking “Vintage to Vogue”!  Our group arrived around 6:30pm for the patio party and rushed inside when the doors opened to get seats!  Gotta have a good view!  The lookbook in the goody bag gave a nice list of their vendors/sponsors on the front and included a brief detail of the 27 different fashion looks that would be on the runway that evening.

Awesome bag (can you see what it says???)

Our good friend, Dr. Heather Sefried, was a sponsor for the evening with Nirvelli Day Spa and gave away a door prize to a lucky winner of a “Day at the SpaLUCKY HER!!!!!!  We really enjoyed the fashion show, they were true to their “Fire and Ice” them with the models make-up and hair (provided by ds Parada).  After the show (there is a cool built in runway down the middle of the store!!!!) the boutique opened for shopping, cupcakes and bubbly!  I used my $10 voucher towards the purchase of a fashionABLE scarf (if you know me, you know I LOVE a scarf).  But this is a scarf with a STORY!  The scarf was made buy a business woman in Africa and part of the purchase proceeds go back to helping provide a sustainable business for women in Africa.  I worked in the mission field in South Africa when I was 17 years old, so it holds a dear and close connection to my heart.  There is a note with my scare that says “Because of you, I am able to see my son, Abel, grow in character.  Thank you, Etanesh”

Karly & Becca (scarf from Africa)

Each scarf is unique and has a note from the maker.  How cool!?!?!?  Great idea and I’ll be buying those for gifts for sure!  Here is a picture of me wearing my scarf with Karly Hankin (she’s the Creative Director of Peachy Keen).  Karly is wearing a dress from the store under the designer label Biya.  After the show, we went over to Travinia for some food and drinks out by the fire pits on their side patio.  Looking for a great and unique place in Cary to eat!  Go to Travinia Italian Kitchen!!  We enjoyed their ½ price martinis and I also had some of their asparagus soup!  YUM!  Thanks to My Girlfriend’s Close in Apex for the fantastic Steve Madden black chunky strap heels that I wore!  They have the coolest shoes there and great prices too!

Becca & Marsha at Joan Rivers!!!!

Earlier this month I attended another fashion event with my mom and the event was for the Queen of Fashion Herself….JOAN RIVERS!  She came to the DPAC and we purchased our tickets earlier this year and have just been counting down the days to her performance!    I’m an avid fan of watching Joan Rivers on Friday night FASHION POLICE, so I was anxious to see her in real life!  She’s a hoot and a total mess!  No one is off limits in her book and she cracks jokes on everyone, even herself!  My mom and I had a great time; we went to dinner beforehand at Tyler’s Taproom on the Tobacco Campus in Durham.  It was a 45minute wait for a table when we arrived, so we opted for the first-come-first-serve seating in the bar area.

Necklace & Sweater from My Girlfriend's Closet!!!!

We are frequent visitors to the Tyler’s Taproom in Apex, so knew we’d have a good dinner and time together at the Durham location.  Dinner was delicious; the service was fast and friendly.  We then walked across the campus to the DPAC and had fantastic seats to see Joan!  Thank you to My Girlfriend’s Closet in Apex for helping me select this fabulous over-the-top Marc Jacobs navy and gold bedazzled sweater!  I had a ton of compliments on it and it was a great style to wear!  I think event Joan Rivers would have approved it herself!

What is a CPA Dog!?!?

Bailey and Ally

I’d like to introduce you to the newest ‘member’ around Smith & Smith, CPA.  Her name is Ally, and she is an 8-weeks old Beagle.  Cam and his wife, Brooke, and children, Connor & Bailey, adopted her in late September.  She’s so sweet and I deem her a CPA (Certified Pretty Awesome) dog!    Ally has become a regular at the Smith & Smith, CPA office; she comes along with the family during the week when they stop by for lunch.  Both Connor and Bailey are crazy about her and love to carry her around and have her chase after them.  I love this picture of Bailey carrying Ally around the office. I really like Bailey big pink bow too!  Maybe Ally needs a bow to match!?!?!

'Cousin Dogs' Ally and Griffin

Last week Cam and his family brought Ally came over to meet Griffin (German Shepherd/Rottie mix) who belongs to us (Blake, Becca, Trent & Mark).  Griffin is a CPA (Certified Pretty Awesome) dog too, but she’s too big to come to the office.  Griffin and Ally got along really well, and the size comparison between the two dogs is crazy! All of the kids love both dogs and spent the evening running and chasing with them in the yard.  We adopted Griffin in the spring of 2005 and she’s been a very good and loyal dog over the years.  I’m sure Ally is going to bring Cam and his family as much joy as Griffin has brought us!  Stop by our office during lunch one day soon, you might just get to meet Ally!

Laugh, Cry and COOK with Elise Johnson!

Shelli with Elise Johnson

There are so many things that I love about October!  Cooler weather, leaves changing, fall festivals, opening the windows at home, Halloween candy (opps, yeah, not afraid to admit it!)…and now I’m going to add the Triangle Ladies Power Lunch from October 17th to that list!  This monthly luncheon is just so much fun!  I love getting to see many of my professional working women friends there, I love the location, I love the speakers, I love the networking and on and on…. The speaker yesterday was the totally adorable and oh-so-loveable, Chef Elise Johnson! (Carrie Peele was away at a business meeting, but Shelli Dallacqua did a great job running the show for her and introduced Elise Johnson!)  I met Chef Elise Johnson about a year ago and she’s just a doll…someone you never forget!  Elise is originally from Massachusetts and her background is 100% Portuguese.  The majority of her presentation yesterday was about her grandmother and the lessons of life she learned from her in the kitchen as a child.  Her topic was so heartwarming and truly touched many of the ladies in the audience.  Elise had a speech impediment as a child and thus spent a lot of time with her grandmother cooking in the kitchen, while the other kids were outside playing or at a friend’s house.  She shared the story of her grandmother arriving in the United States by boat, how she raised 10 kids and was a factory worker for 66 years!  She passed away when Elise was only 19 years old.  Elise talked about success and she held up a cooking apron that was her grandmothers, one she found in her house hanging on an old nail in the kitchen.  To anybody else, it was just an apron.  But to Elise, it represents a legacy.  Chef Elise Johnson is a Chief Spokesperson for BJ’s Wholesale Club, has a national TV cooking segments called “Cooking with Elise” and released her first cookbook in April 2012, “You Never Cook Alone”.  I love that she said she’s known as the “Portuguese Paula Dean”!

Elise Johnson and Bill Cooper

Crazy enough as this world is, I ran into an ole’ friend from my college years at East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!)  His name is Bill Cooper and he happens to be the webguy for Elise Johnson!  He was at the luncheon yesterday and we recognized each other!  Bill was good friends with my sister, Karen.  Bill now lives in Raleigh has a company called CreativeWebJuice.com.  He provides clients with web development, graphic design, online platforms and print media solutions. He’s got some good talent!  It was fun seeing Bill and I enjoyed catching up on life with him!  Here is a picture of him working the cookbook sale table with Elise Johnson

Winner Winner!

I had wonderful ladies at my Smith & Smith, CPA sponsor table: Sarah Thacker, Heather Swanner, Renee Groom, Judy Fourie, Karen Albright, Erin Cohen and Sharon Moe.  Sarah, Heather, and Erin were all lucky door prize winners!  Love the big CLINIQUE silver bag that Sarah won, best of all it was full of all kinds of CLINIQUE goodies (thanks to the wonderful ladies from Belk at Crabtree Valley Mall, that is you Jennifer Elkin!!!).

Heather and Kendra

Heather Swanner was kind enough to introduce me to one of her friends, Kendra Leonard, who is the owner of The Art of Style.  She has two stores, one in Brier Creek and the other in Cameron Village.  Here is a picture of Heather and Kendra.  Kendra is wearing a dress from her store! She is having a fashion show/fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Sunday, November 11th from 7-10pm at Embassy Suites in Brier Creek.  That will be a fun girl night!  I know that Heather was particularly moved by what Elise Johnson had to say with her talk about success and passion.  Both of these ladies enjoyed the luncheon!

MGC in Cary & Apex dresses!!!!

I’d also like to mention another upcoming event that is next week, October 23rd.  It is the WomenNC & InterAct Jazzy Evening.  My good friend, Beth Dehghan of Village Cleaners is helping to promote and organize this evening event.  Tickets are still on sale and you can purchase them here.  I’ll be there along with Sarah Thacker.  I also had to get a picture with my amazing partner-in-crime…Rita Sellers of Outside Raleigh!  We were both wearing amazing dresses from My Girlfriend’s Closet!  My dress was an Eva Franco, navy blue with red embroidered stripes and Rita was wearing a beautiful Ann Taylor belted suit dress.  Have you been to My Girlfriend’s Closet lately? I’m heading that way tomorrow to see what new FALL stuff she has in!    Here’s to Cooking with Elise Johnson and a wonderful October Day!

Smith Families at the NC State Fair

Last weekend marked an annual tradition for the Smith Family…the NC STATE FAIR!  Blake and I both grew up in families that always went to the fair, for me it was with my Grammer to the Appalachian District Fair in Eastern Tennessee.  Blake’s memories of the fair include all of his family and two sets of neighborhood families all piling into the van from Rocky Mount, NC and heading to Raleigh for a fun day at the fair!   It is so much fun now as an adult to take our boys & families to the fair.  I no longer ride the rides, but our kids do!  We always buy our ride tickets in advance (saves on $$$) and WOW, they blew through the 4 books that we bought this year in about 2 hours!  We went with Cam & Brooke and their kids this year.  Connor and Mark had fun riding together; the two of them would have ridden the motorbikes the WHOLE TIME if we had let them!  We also did other fair favorites like the petting zoo, funnel cake and ‘fair food’ for dinner.  Have you been to the NC State Fair yet?  This is the last weekend and the weather looks GREAT!  Eat a corndog for me if you go!

Ashley & Becca

Last weekend was a BIG tax deadline weekend, extensions were due, so Blake had to work on Saturday and a few hours on Sunday too.  While he was working, I took off to the North Carolina Zoo, located in Asheboro, NC, to meet-up with one of my favorite camp friends, Ashley & Logan!  They drove down from VA with their little girl, June, and we made a whole day of the zoo together!  Trent, Mark and June all three had a great time running around together, climbing on animal statues, looking at the baboons and gorillas, touring the dino park and much more.

June, Mark and Trent

I still laugh now as the animal that June got the MOST excited about seeing was a random squirrel that ran by on the park path….sigh…gotta love the joy that kids bring!  The Asheboro Zoo is such a treasure for North Carolina.  Cam and his family have an annual pass and Connor really enjoys getting to go on a regular basis!  The zoo has nearly 5 miles of walking trails, divided into two sections: North America and Africa.  We started in Africa, stopped for lunch and a ride on the carousel and then headed over to the North America part.  Really fun afternoon but exhausted afterwards!

Marketing Mess

Seems like I am always looking for new and unique things to use for my marketing job.  I have enjoyed our office expansion from earlier this year where we added 900 sqft of office space.  I use a section of the new space as my ‘marketing storage area’.  I was over there working last weekend on sorting stuff from a recent expo and Blake came over with the camera to try and catch me working through all of my marketing mess.  And I mean ‘mess’ in a good way!  I had been to the ribbon cutting earlier that morning for Wings Café.  Thanks to My Girlfriend’s Closet of Apex for the beautiful Ann Taylor off-black wrap dress that I was wearing!  It was a chilly day and this dress from their fabulous boutique kept me comfortable and professional.  Make sure you stop by there to shop!

Have a wonderful weekend!  The weather looks awesome!  We are heading to Banner Elk, NC for the Wooly Worm Festival and to visit Tweetsie Railroad!

Science Camp, Diet Foods and Legally Blond!

Trent & Zoom at Science is Fun for Everyone camp!

So much going on!  Time to do a lump-sum blog to wrap things up to date.  Our family is now fully involved in the Wake County School System, YEAR ROUND SCHOOL.  And to be honest, we really like it!  It fits our life pretty well and Trent seems happy.  We just completed our first round of ‘track out’ where Trent was out of school for three weeks in October.  Like a good mom, I had him booked for three different weeks of track-out camps.  The first one we did was Town of Cary.  Great camp, lots of fun, lots of field-trips during the week, good schedule and fun kids.  Trent had a good time, he had to miss a few days for the funeral of my Uncle Mark in TN, but other than that, we were happy with the camp.  His 2nd week of track-out was BY FAR his favorite!  He went to ‘SCIENCE’  Track-Out camp at a great place in Cary called “Science Fun For Everyone”.  I heard about this place through an event I worked earlier this year through Carolina Parent magazine.  His week of camp was called “OceanAdvenshores” and he had a total blast studying ocean science, mixing mixtures and just learning, learning learning!  Here is Trent with his hermit crab, properly named “Zoom”.  His third week of track-out camp was done at LifeTime Fitness and was another good week for him.  So now we are tracked-back-in and looking forward to a good 2nd quarter.

Uncle Mark Orchid

As I mentioned earlier, my Uncle Mark passed away in early October.  He had a long and painful battle was cancer.  We hated to see him go, but his body & soul had done all it could and it was time for him to go to Heaven.  I’d like to say thank you so much to my friends and family who sent cards, notes and loving emails of support.  Two of my sweet friends, Renee and Heather, sent me a huge bouquet of sunflowers and this beautiful purple orchid.  What a nice and thoughtful gift of lasting love.  Thank you girls!

Cary Chamber Business of Women

The Cary Chamber hosted their Business of Women luncheon for October.  The speaker was Trish Vulpis, a registered dietician from WakeMed.  Trish gave a fantastic talk on “Nutrition Know How”.  We’ve all heard speakers on food, healthy, diet, etc. before, but she gave a nice twist on the topic.  She didn’t make us feel guilty for eating and enjoying Prestonwood Country Club’s huge buffet of awesome food!  She talked to us about enjoying our food and to consider why and when we are eating…what are the motivating factors…things to think about for sure!  I was happy to see so many wonderful Cary Chamber friends!  Here is a picture of me with Trish and Autumn LaBarca (the NEW Marketing and Public Relations Director for White Tiger Taekwondo)!

Thank you to My Girlfriend’s Closet for the beautiful Diane Von Furstenberg dresses that I wore to the Cary Chamber Business of Women and also the one that I have on in the picture with the orchid for my Uncle Mark.   My Girlfriend’s Closet carries all types of designer labels and brands.  Great place to shop and even better prices!  They have two stores, downtown Cary and downtown Apex and I shop at BOTH of them!

Legally Blond here we come!

Blake and I celebrated a few weeks ago with a very special dinner-date-overnight-stay in Raleigh!  I had won two tickets through the Cary Y We Build People Campaign to see go Legally Blond on Broadway and it was fantastic!  We started the evening off with dinner at The Big Easy in downtown Raleigh.  Great place to eat!  There was a live jazz band playing downstairs (we ate upstairs in the loft part).  Blake had a delicious steak and I had the salmon dinner.  Highly recommend their food and atmosphere for a nice dinner date!  The Legally Blond play was FANTASTIC!  The songs, music, characters and laughs were endless!

Thank you to My Girlfriend’s Closet for the beautiful Bebe black cocktail dress!

Jug items

Funny story to share with you… Last week we were wrapping up our final notes on the GlobalRun4Water and Scott Rossi shared with us some of the items that were found in our water jug collections.  We had collection jugs at different places around town and were successful at collecting nearly $1,000 in dollars/coin donations!  Here is a picture of the random items that came from the collection jugs…a screw, sawed off penny and five foreign currency coins.

The WBON scholarship is nearly 11 years old and has been awarded to 19 women totaling $36,000 in funds that has been used towards furthering education, training and skills in their particular line of business.  I’ve made a nice new friend this year named Grace Li Wang.  She was the Town of Cary Lazy Daze Featured Artist for 2011 and I met her this year at the 2012 Lazy Daze event.  She has generously donated a lovely packet of her unique designs on note cards as an auction item.  I went by her house to pick up the gift and had a wonderful time talking with her.  She has a fantastic talent and calls her work “Art with a touch of Grace”.  Her work has been featured all over town, most remarkable to me at Stonehaven Jewelry Gallery in downtown Cary. Her work is sold at Southern Charm in Cary Towne Mall and also at Bull City Art and Frame Co.  Thank you Grace Li Wang for your donation to the WBON auction and for your new friendship!  She’ll be at the Lochmere Arts & Crafts show too on Saturday, November 10th.  Stop by to see (and purchase) her work!

Mother-Son Date Knight

Now to the “Mother Knight” part of my blog title…Earlier this week I took our boys to the Chick-fil-a Waverly Place for the Mother-Son Date KNIGHT!  We pulled up in the packed parking lot to witness a real life knight performance!  Three guys were dressed in full knight gear and were having a ‘battle of the wits’ right in front of us!  The boys loved it and the clash and clang of metal swords and shields was really exciting.

Knight Fight!

Once inside we found the whole right side of the restaurant decorated like a castle, complete with a bridge over an ‘alligator filled creek’ and a “Knighted Cow”.  We had a nice time eating with the table-side-service and the boys each brought me a bright red rose!  They did some cool kid crafts and we had a wonderful time talking about knights, bravery and what it means to be a hero.  Thank you Chick-fil-a Waverly Place for hosting such a fun event!  I even found & booked a magician from the event for Trent & Mark’s upcoming birthday party in November!
